Rich is the founder of The Local Catch. He is also owner and operator of the 34' F/V Sandra Lynn, out of Snug Harbor. He fishes off Block Island for lobster, black sea bass, scup, fluke, monkfish, and skates. He and his wife Ann live in Charlestown and enjoy hunting and caring for their sheep and four dogs.
Sarah worked as Rich's deckhand aboard the F/V Sandra Lynn. She now fishes from her 19' boat, the F/V Nushagak, named for the river in Alaska where she has spent the last three summers canning salmon. She supplies quahogs, steamers, and conch to The Local Catch. In her spare time she is active in environmental activities throughout the state.
Dean fishes gill nets, fish pots, and rod and reel from his 38' F/V Oceana, out of Galilee. He got into fishing in 1984 after completing the fisheries program at URI. Originally from New Jersey, he has made South Kingstown his home since 1990. Dean calls himself a "family guy", and enjoys playing soccer with his three kids and surfing. Dean and his deckhand Kale Newbauer provide monkfish, raja, fluke, scup, sea bass, striped bass, and bluefish to The Local Catch.
Brian has been lobstering since 1987. It started as a summer job and soon turned into a career. Brian supplies lobster and crabs from his F/V Ashley Ann to The Local Catch. He is an avid outdoorsman and coaches his son's Little League Team. He and his family live in Charlestown.
